Is the building the point? Is the yard the point? Where do you want to position yourself first?
When you build a new house, you plan a garden, but when you enlarge or reconstruct your house, many of you don't think about the garden. When you enlarge a room to get more space, or when you add one room, the garden is always occupied by the building. There are places where you want to show and where you don't want to show in the garden and in the house. Garden craftsmen know how to emphasize or hide something.
A garden and a house should have a unity. It is because a house is located inside the garden space and the garden is adjacent to the house. The line which connects the focus of the garden and the focus of the house is the baseline. Both sides have reference points and the width is set up with the length (distance) of the baseline. If there is enough space and the width of the field of vision is specified, you prepare for severing the garden space. If there is more space, you can expand the width of the field of vision gradually. It means that you decide the ground division of the garden. The first and the second best place for looking at the garden are naturally in the house.
In the garden, you have to think about the definition of the right and left side, and the depth of the garden space and the height of the focus point, taking the house in to consideration. You can decide these things while working with the materials. That's why the house looks wonderful from the garden.
The period of the bubble economy has passed and now we are in economic recession. I think the true garden will appear from now on.
